Innovation and Discovery Intern (May 2024

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is looking for a summer intern in Washington, DC, and it's looking for someone with "an in-depth understanding of the intersection of technology and philanthropy," according to its description of the position on its website.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree, be willing to work three to four hours a week, and be willing to travel, the Washington Post reports.

The position is part of the foundation's Innovation and Discovery program, which aims to solve "some of the most intractable problems facing humanity," according to its website.

The Gates Foundation has given more than $100 million to more than 100 projects in the US and around the world since its founding, the Post reports.

According to its description, the internship will give interns "the opportunity to work closely with some of the world's leading thought leaders on some of the most important issues of our time."
